Bad Boy At BIngo

Here is another story from the WTH is wrong with people  files
Apparently, an  82 year old man was mad that a woman at bingo sat in his favorite seat. So mad in fact that he slashed the tires on the woman's van. This action leads me to the question What the heck is wrong with people???

82 year old Fred Smith was charged with criminal mischief late Monday afternoon when, police say, he took an ice pick to 88-year-old Ethel Britt's van during a weekly bingo game at the Lake Ashton Retirement Community Club House. OMG!!! Sometimes I am not sure weather to laugh or cry at the absurdity of stories like this. What is happening to people? What is happening to common sense an human decency? Over a seat at bingo...Smith faces having to pay $456 in tire damage and restitution back to Britt.

Josh Hamilton gets 1st hit back with Rangers - Fox4News.com | Dallas-Fort Worth News, Weather, Sports

Josh Hamilton gets 1st hit back with Rangers - Fox4News.com | Dallas-Fort Worth News, Weather, Sports

He's Baaack! Is this good news or bad news? When he left he said that DFW was not a baseball town. He also said that the Texas Rangers did NOTHING for his career. I will admit, the biggest thing in DFW is Dallas Cowboy Football, and Texas in general is All About Football...Friday Night Lights and all. Yes maybe baseball comes in second place to football that indeed is true.

So lets focus on The Texas Rangers doing "Nothing" for his career... Really? The Rangers gave him a chance when no other team would. They worked with him and actually bent over backward to make the clubhouse environment a place where he could feel comfortable and not tempted by his addiction demons. Texas was the place where he rose to baseball super star status. Instead of staying loyal to the team that took him on when no one else wanted to, he went for the bigger pay day! And he realized it was a mistake!

He is back, and looking I suppose for a do over... He wants Texas Ranger fans to welcome him back with open arms and forgive his past greed and shortsightedness.

I think that it may take time...How much time probably depends on his performance. How quickly do the fans see he is still good for Texas Ranger Baseball. He might get booed by some of the fans first off until he shows them he is all about doing his best for the Rangers.

I say we all make bad decisions in life and many of us wish there were something in our lives where we wish we could have a do over. Lets  let Josh have his do over and root for it to be a good thing for Texas Ranger Baseball!

Pentagon: Military mistakenly shipped live anthrax samples

http://news.yahoo.com/pentagon-military-mistakenly-shipped-live-anthrax-samples-194202171--politics.html?soc_src=copy

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Wednesday it is investigating what the Pentagon called an inadvertent shipment of live anthrax spores to government and commercial laboratories in as many as nine states, as well as one overseas, that expected to receive dead spores.

I have one question... well maybe more than one question about this but the main question is
HOW do you ACCIDENTALLY ship live anthrax samples. With all the security checks and balances there are (or are supposed to be) How does this happen...ACCIDENTALLY?

Police: Woman gets fork in eye in dispute over last rib - DC News FOX 5 DC WTTG

http://www.myfoxdc.com/story/29166400/police-woman-gets-fork-in-eye-in-dispute-over-last-rib

Really???

This to me goes in the heading of WTH Were They Thinking!

MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) -- Police say an Indiana woman stabbed another woman in the eye with a fork in a dispute over the last rib at a barbecue

I guess this brings a new meaning to the words Food Fight! Sometimes I look at stories like this and I really have no words for the actual stupidity of the story. I think about...Did this really happen? I can not believe the absurdity of this kind of dispute. Are people really this crazy? Makes me wonder what would cause me to stab someone with a fork...In the eye no less.

First of all, I can not imagine ever  fighting over food unless maybe I was...I do not know... starving, maybe had not eaten in many days. It certainly would not be at a back yard BBQ where there is usually food overflowing.

How do people begin to think that this kind of uncivilized behavior is ok? Many times I read stories like this and wonder when did common sense and basic moral decency get thrown by the wayside?  Sometimes peoples actions leave me really wondering: WTH Were They Thinking!

Back To The Blog

Well it has really been quite some time since I have written on my blog and so much has happened...not the least of which was turning 50 last November. Some people think that 50 is some sort of life mark and I guess that it really is! After all, it means that you have lived a half of a century. Sometimes it really gets a person thinking about all that has happened in the half of 100 years they have been on the earth. Not only specifically in their life but also in the world. Historical events, technology, cultural changes... (the things that have happened in the world that have marked your life.
Some people feel that 50 is the age when you start getting old... just beyond middle age and on the down side of the hill...I guess that is one way to look at it.
I, however, like to look at 50 as the beginning of my prime of life. For most people, with age comes wisdom and that wisdom gives a life a certain view. My children are all adults now (have been for a couple of years) and after a period of being a young widow, I have once again found love and romance and am once again happily married. I am very much enjoying the age of 50. I am able to travel and have experiences I was never able to have when I was younger. I am living a rich wonderful life at my age which is some respects has been a bit of a whirlwind, and I would not trade my age or life at this age for anything in the world.
I have been wonderfully blessed by God, all for which I am truly thankful. Every day I look forward to the next daily adventure!
Glad to be back in the blogging world!
