Just Thinking
I have been sitting here thinking about what has been going on since I wrote last on my blog. I have an interview for a job, and I have met a nice guy on the Internet I have been chatting with. My job interview is with one of ACG's competitors. They got my resume off Monster.com. The job is closer to me than ACG was which is a good thing. As for the nice guy, his name is Charles and he lives in St Jo TX which is a small town just west of Muenster. We have had some real nice chats and he seems to be a real nice guy. With no agenda, we will see what happens. No matter what it is just nice to chat with a guy. Getting to know Charles ... or what I know of him so far has been a good thing. He is from a Small town with good small town values. I am very impressed and glad for that. He has a strong faith.
You know Daddy and I talked about the job situation and we discussed of how God new my parents needed me to help with their 50 th wedding anniversary celebration. Not too shortly after that I started getting offers or actually inquiries regarding jobs. Gods timing really is perfect.

50 Years
This past weekend my parents celebrated their 50 th wedding anniversary. The past 2 months I have spent much time helping my parents plan their anniversary celebration. Everything was beautiful and a good time was had by all. I had such a good feeling in the end as it all was so beautiful and all went perfect... I was so glad to have helped make their special day what it was! It was a very emotional weekend. There were many tears of JOY shed this weekend. Some things did not go according to plan such as the song at the end of their renewal service. I had a recording of "Hawaiian Wedding Song" By Elvis Presley and it did not work... So, I had to sing...That went very well and was very beautiful and emotional as that was the song my parents used at the end of their first wedding. It was also the song me and my late husband used at the end of our wedding... As a matter of fact, I think Leo(my late husband) caused that CD not to work so I would have to sing.... Glad I practiced. I think that was his plan... and that is fine. Ellie made the cake and it turned out beautiful. Everyone raved about the cake and how beautiful it was. It was not her first cake but her second layer cake (she is planning on going to culinary school after H.S. to become a pastry chef.) Not many people make it to 50 years. My parents have been through so much in the past 50 years and are quite the testament to for richer or poorer, better or worse, in sickness and health till death do we part. God has really blessed my parents in teh past 50 years!

The Job Fair
I posted earlier today I was going to a Job Fair. In fact it is the first time I had ever been to a job fair. When I got there I found that most of the companies hiring were looking for sales associates. I was able to leave resumes with 3 companies. Now I have to leave the rest to God!
Job Fair
Today I am going to a Job Fair. I have never been to one so I am not sure just what to expect. I have printed up copies of my resume and I am "dressed for success" and I will do all I can do and let God do the rest as Joyce Meyer says. We shall see what happens

On My Mind
There are many things on my mind today. Things that are part of my circumstances and things that are not my circumstances but things I have to be involved in due to relationships. I have had a quite busy several weeks getting things done for my parents for their 50 th wedding anniversary and all that is going to be coming to a head. Mom and dads anniversary is this Friday April 9th. They are going to celebrate with their friends at the senior center that day and on Saturday they are going to renew their vows and have a small reception after. There has been much work and need for preparation for which I have been extensively involved. I have had the time as I have not been working... in some ways I believe that I have needed to be unemployed in order to help with everything I have been in charge of. It has been difficult emotionally and there has been stress regarding not working but I am trying to be patient. (yet another thing on my mind.) I have been tired of late... I suppose that it has been all the things that I have had to do and all the frustrations related to all I have had on my plate and on my mind. I know that all the stress I have felt is just fueling the fire and adding to my weariness. I know I have to let the stresses go and just do the tasks. I have been thinking at times of the way I would love things to be. Sometimes in my running around I have gotten a chance to drive "out in the country" enjoying the peace and beauty.... The peace and beauty... I have in those moments, wished to be in those settings as my lifestyle. Kind of like permanent vacation just coasting through the beauty and the peace of Gods creation. To somehow always have the vision or the view "off the front porch" so to speak.
I think that is the thought I want to end this post on.

Cyber Games
Do you have a farmville farm... or maybe one on farm town...Are you building a town in my town?...or maybe you are cooking cyber food in your cyber kitchen to serve up in cafe world...Will you be my neighbor and have an Island Paradise, Happy Island or Tiki Paradise of your own to help me move to the next level? I have sent you a gift for your happy aquarium, will you return the favor and send me one for mine? Are you looking for cement blocks for mafia wars? Help me out and visit my zoo world. How many chips have you earned playing Farkle...and how often do you get power dice?
This is just a short list of some of the cyber games you can find on the ever popular social network sites such as twitter & facebook. There are many types of people playing these cyber games. There are those who only become peoples neighbors so their friends can get to the next level, or enlarge their town, or get more points. Then there are the people who only play games in a way that they only have to check in to them every couple of days. Then there are those who use them as a method of unwinding from their hectic day at work.
Then, Then... There are those who play all the games. have farmvill and farm town farms, Have the most decorations Know exactly how long the cyber dishes take to cook and get back to serve them before they spoil, They have 30 neighbors, know how many coins they get each time they collect the rent on the mobile home in my town. They have not one, not 2 , not 3, but 6 islands on happy island and are at level 45 on all their games.
For me it is relaxing though sometimes...especially since I am currently unemployed I play a bit more than I did when I was working but it is an escape to unwind... and some of the music in these games is fun.
SO, WHERE DO YOU FIT IN THE CYBER GAME WORLD???

Shoes
Thursday I was sitting on the porch enjoying the beautiful spring day we were having. it was in the low 80's with a breeze blowing, and it really could not have been a more beautiful day. As I was sitting there , out of the corner of my eye, I saw a pair of shoes belonging to my daughter. They were well worn and had been left there to dry after getting wet the day before. I laughed inside as I looked at the shoes. I remember the day she wrote "right" on the toe of the left shoe & "left" on the toe of the right... her way of being unique. . I decided to get my camera and take a picture of the shoes.
Have you ever thougth about the shoes we wear. "walk a mile in my shoes" is a very familiar saying. something we say to let people know they do not know what we have been going thru... "I never thought about it before... after all how often do you look at a mans shoes" this is a line Morgan Freeman's character, Red, makes in the movie Shawshank Redemption. The main character had switched his prison issue shoes with the wardens extra pair of dress shoes before heading back to his cell before escaping later that evening...something the guard did not notice. Have you ever looked at someones shoes and wondered where they have been???
Quite A Day
I had quite a day today. I went to run 3 quick errands and ended going all over town and I still have not accomplished one of the things I intended to accomplish. I was going to pick up a picture frame, meat to grill for tomorrow & a skein of yarn for an afghan I am working on. First stop was Hobby Lobby for the frame and skein of yarn, Got the frame but they did not have the color yarn I was looking for. While at Hobby Lobby, My daughter informed me of some things she needed to make the cake for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. We picked up gold cake dusting for the accents for the cake... and some piping tips and bags...I also bought a decorating ideas book which has templates in it.
I still needed the yarn so it was off to the the Walmart. They did not have the color yarn I needed either, but we were able to get a a turn table for cake decorating and frosting there less expensive than Hobby Lobby.
Michael's was just across the street. I went in. Eillie stayed in the car to look at the book ... No, I did not find the color of yarn I needed. We decided to go to Jo Ann's in... While on the way there Ellie was showing me stuff she could do with different tips. She said she needed 3 decorating tips so she went into Jo Ann's with me. We got the 3 tips and a thing for her to make frosting roses on and a rose lifter... I did not find the color of yarn I was looking for. ... The Jo Ann's in Denton is small so I went to the one in Lewisville...There we got some coloring for frosting... and I still did not find the color yarn I was looking for.
Well, We went and got the meat to grill for tomorrow, and it looks like I am going to have to order the year from the craft magazine...The bright spot in all this is the beautiful cake my daughter made for me...

This though it was really no surprise to me had me seeing RED literally. I knew the world of politics was full of waste, perks and financial corruption. but some of the things in the article were actually sickening to me.

Technology
Today my daughter was telling me that she can teach me simple Html codes. About the only thing right now I know about these codes is that the code creates decorations and are what create page content. I have seen Html codes and the most I have done with them is to copy them on my my space. I know that these codes are used to make up the widgets and other parts of this blog page. Here on my blog all I have done is quick post codes to "make it all happen"
I do not know if I am ready to do something like that, but I really am interested in this since it has everything to do with page design and I would like to have more control over my page designs.
So my 17 year old daughter is going to try to teach me and show me some new things.
I am looking forward to learning as I am sure that besides use in my blog I am sure the skills I am learning as it relates to my blog will be helpful to me!!!
Thoughts of Good Friday
Mark 15:34-39
34 Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" - which means , "My God myGod why have you forsaken me?" 35 When some of those standing near heard this, they said,"Listen he is calling Elijah." 36 One man ran, filled a sponge with wine vinigar, put it on a stick, and offered it to Jesus to drink. "Now leave hom alone. Lets see if Elijah comes to take him down, " he said. 37 With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last. 38 The curtain in the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. 39 and when the centurion, who stood befor Jesus, heard his cry and saw how he died, he said , "Surely this man was the Son of God!"
This man, was the Son of God who died for our sins that we may have everlasting life! Today, Good Friday, is the day Christians around the world recognize as the day Jesus was crucified, died and was burried. He will rise again on the 3rd day, Easter! This was an emense sacrafice! He laid down his life for us...To save us...He suffered great pain as he was tied to a pillar and whipped, A crown of thorns, not just placed on his head but pushed on his head...into his scalp. Beaten and bruised he was made to carry his own cross thru the streets to Golgotha - (which means the Place of teh Skull). He was hung on the cross between two criminals, but hw was not just tied as teh other two. They drove nails thru his hands and feet to help secure him to the cross.
All this he endured for us. He died on the cross like a criminal. a death he did not deserve but endured for us. SO THAT OUR SINS SHOULD BE FORGIVEN!!!
